Trusted by Maryland Home Owners

Veteran Owned. NADCA Certified.

We are a veteran-owned and operated team that already keeps air systems clean in Maryland hospitals, VA facilities, schools, and government buildings. Those places cannot afford shortcuts or guesswork, and when they need their ducts cleaned, they trust us.

Now we bring that same discipline into local homes. You get the same certified process and safety standards we use to protect Maryland kids, patients, and veterans, with no exceptions. We show up when we say we will, give a fair and honest assessment, and leave your house as clean as we found it, with healthier air for you and your family.

Signs Your Ducts Need Cleaning

Dust keeps coming back

You wipe vents and furniture, but dust is back a day or two later. That build-up is often coming from inside the ducts, not just everyday living.

Uneven rooms and weak airflow

Some rooms feel stuffy while others are comfortable, or certain vents barely blow at all. Debris can choke off parts of the system and reduce airflow.

More coughing and congestion

Family members cough, sneeze, or feel stuffy more when the system turns on. Dust, pet dander, and other irritants in the ducts are being pushed into the rooms.

Musty or “old house” smells

You notice musty, smoky, or “burnt dust” odors when the heat or AC kicks on. That smell can be trapped dust, mold, or other contaminants in the ductwork.

Our Expert Duct Cleaning Services

Free Air Quality Inspection

We offer a free in-home air quality inspection for Maryland homeowners. A licensed Bluejacket technician will check the air coming from your ducts, walk you through any issues we find, and give you a clear, written estimate on the spot so you can make an informed decision on what to do next.

Air Duct Cleaning

We provide full-home air duct cleaning for Maryland homeowners. A trained Bluejacket technician connects professional vacuums, agitates your supply and return ducts, removes dust and debris, and documents the results so you know exactly what was cleaned, why it matters, and the next steps.

HVAC System Cleaning

We inspect and clean key parts of your HVAC system to keep air moving freely and efficiently. Our techs check the unit, coils, and filters, remove built-up dust, and let you know if any parts should be repaired or replaced.

HVAC Filter Replacement

When your filter is clogged or overdue, a Bluejacket technician replaces it with a properly sized, high quality option for your system and installs it on site, keeping dust out of your ducts and airflow healthy for your home.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

One of our technicians cleans the full length of your dryer vent, removes built up lint and debris, checks airflow at the exterior hood, and confirms the line is clear so your dryer runs safely, dries clothes faster, and cuts the risk of fire.

Air Conditioner Cleaning

We clean the indoor parts of your air conditioner, washing the coil and drain pan, clearing light debris, and checking that condensate drains correctly so air can move freely, your system cools rooms faster, runs with less strain, and helps reduce musty odors.

I recently hired Bluejacket for HVAC and dryer vent cleaning, and I was impressed with their service

The scheduling process was smooth and the technicians were extremely professional. The service took a few hours as they went room by room to inspect and clean each duct. When I provided feedback about some of their work, they genuinely listened and addressed it, which really showed they care about customer satisfaction. I’d definitely recommend Bluejacket!

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does professional duct cleaning take?

Most single-system homes take between two and four hours, depending on layout and how dirty the system is. A Bluejacket crew will place floor protection, seal vents as needed, set up the vacuum equipment, and then move methodically through each supply and return run. We also check key components like the blower, evaporator coil, and plenum and let you know if they need additional cleaning. Before we leave, we tidy up, walk you through what was done, and review any photos or findings so you can see the difference.

For most homes, a full duct cleaning every three to five years is enough. You may need it more often if you have pets that shed, smokers in the home, family members with allergies or asthma, or if you have had recent renovations, water damage, or pest issues inside the ductwork. At Bluejacket we start with an inspection. If your ducts do not need cleaning yet, we will tell you that and explain why, instead of selling you a service you do not need.

Pricing depends on the size of your home, how many systems you have, how dirty the ducts are, and whether you add services such as HVAC system or dryer vent cleaning. We price by square footage and system complexity, not by vague “per vent” coupons that leave room for surprise add-ons. A technician will inspect your system, explain what needs to be cleaned and what does not, and give you a clear written quote before any work starts, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Common signs include dust that keeps settling on surfaces soon after you clean, visible dust or debris around vents or inside returns, musty or “old house” smells when the heat or AC turns on, and rooms that are much hotter or colder than others. You might also notice more coughing, sneezing, or congestion when the system runs. If you have never had your ducts cleaned, or it has been many years, an inspection is usually the best way to see what is going on inside the system.

When it is done correctly, duct cleaning can be helpful for people with allergies or asthma because it removes dust, pet dander, and other irritants from inside the system. Bluejacket uses negative pressure, sealed equipment, and proper filtration so debris is pulled out of the ducts instead of blown into the home. If someone in your home is very sensitive, you can schedule the cleaning for a time when they can be out of the house and return after the work and basic airing out are finished. We are happy to walk you through our process so you can be confident it is done safely.
